HE so I Project Bible Study
Overview
Throughout our lives we are searching for the answer to the question, “Who am I?” It is always at the back of our minds, since who we are influences everything that we think, feel and do. Although this is the central question of identity, the question that we need to ask is, “Who is God?”
We were created to be image bearers of God. He uniquely designed each of our identities to reflect who He is, His attributes, His character. To determine who we are called to be, we first need to know Him.
This is the focus of the HE so I study.
HE is…so I can be.
We can never fully know who we are until we know and understand God. In each lesson of this study, author Eric L. Moyer, walks through a focused study discovering who God is, as He has revealed Himself through His word.
As we really get to know God through this study, we will learn who He truly is, correcting our preconceived ideas of Him. He will surprise us. He will shock us. He will amaze us. Along the way, we will develop a greater understanding of Him that will transform our own identity.
“To truly know God as He desires and deserves to by known is not a casual thing, but a lifelong pursuit that ends only when we see Him face-to-face.”

HE so I Lessons
Introduction
This provides an introduction to the purpose and plan for the HE so I Project Bible Study and the activities included in each lesson.
Lesson 2
One of the first ways that we know people is through their name. Names are important to our identity because our experiences and reputation are associated with it. In this lesson, we will discover more about who God is through His name, which will also learn more about His design for us.
Lesson 1
The goal of the HE so I Project is to assist people in their journey of discovering who God created them to be through knowing and understanding God, as He has revealed Himself. This first lesson of the HE so I Project study, will help us discover what God wants to be the focus of our study, the transformation of our identity.
Lesson 3
When you look at a piece of art or a beautiful picture of a landscape or listen to a piece of music, you have the opportunity to discover something about the artist. As the creator, God has left His fingerprint in His creation, so we can discover who He is. In this lesson, we will discover aspects of God’s identity through his creation and being the creator.
Lesson 4
When we want to emphasize an aspect of a person, we can put it in all caps, like we are yelling it, or we can bold the word or change the color to emphasize the attribute. If the attribute was essential to the person, we might use all three with some others added in for good measure. In Biblical times, they did not have these different options. To emphasize an attribute about a person, they would repeat it.
In this lesson, we will study a central aspect of God’s nature. God is Holy, Holy, Holy. Discover what is means for God to be holy and what that means for our identity.
